“Act your wage?”

“Act your wage?” When I turned on my radio that was the last words of a commercial that had just gone off, and it stuck in my head. Act your wage? Now I’m sure that we’re all familiar with someone being told to act their age. Yes there seems to be an unusual amount of grownups, and even Christians who are not acting their age. How else can we explain the foolishness that is going on in our society today? Maybe the commercial was about spending more money this holiday season than we should, or not trying to impress folk who really don’t care that much about us.

I do know though that we Christians have to continue to act our age, especially those of us who have been following the KING for a very long time. It’s really not about chestnuts roasting on an open fire. It’s about the fact that we all need a Savior and God the Father sent us Jesus, His only begotten Son. So please do your best to keep Christ in Christmas! You’ll be so glad that you did! “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a (grownup), I put away childish things.” 1st Corinthians 13:11.
