Aging out!

Aging out! “To be too old to remain in an aged based classification.” When I was growing up our church only had two choirs. Either you were in the Youth Chorus or the Senior Choir. Although we were called the Youth Chorus it was almost impossible to “age out“ because to join the Senior Choir, also known as the WWC Chorus, seemingly you had to show a copy of your latest social security check! (Just kidding) Boy those were some faithful Saints! The problem I see today though is that we don’t seem to have enough Saints “Aging out.” There’s supposed to be 250 million Christians in the United States, and the nation appears to be sliding into the abyss! Too many Saints are singing “I don’t wanna grow up, cause I’m a Toys R Us Kid.” Hey that store is out of business, and we must be about our Father’s business! When it comes to advancing the cause of Christ this Christian Lone Ranger stuff is not working. “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” 1st Corinthians 13:11. It’s time for more of us to “Age out.”

“When doubt is gone.” What a way to end a month. Someone is pushed onto the train tracks again, a Police officer is slain in the line of duty, and a bridge in Baltimore falls down with people on it. T
