Beware of hyper grace in 2018!

Updated: Jan 26, 2021

Beware of hyper grace in 2018! Growing up in New York I guess every church from a store front to a cathedral had Sunday night service. After our night service many of the young people would make a beeline down to 1 7 0 Adelphi Street, the Home of the “Hit makers.” Yes, Institutional Cogic was the place to be and I remember Delores Gatewood singing “A little more grace.” Yes back then we were asking God for a little more grace.

Today however, grace has been cheapened by the sinning Saints. I heard an English professor, who is married to a Pastor say that the church has a low view of sin and it’s weakening the visible church.

The apostle Paul ran into that same problem. “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin; that grace may abound? God forbid...” Romans 6:1-2A Saints, our work is cut out for us in 2018. We are called to love the sinner and hate the sin.

Hyper grace is NOT the answer. Let’s continue to do our best to lift high the blood stained banner, and don’t be ashamed to ask for “A little more grace.” A blessed New Year to you all!
