“Faith in the supremacy of reason?”

“Faith in the supremacy of reason?” No, I don’t think so! I was watching an old episode of Perry Mason, the lawyer who never lost a case in the 1950’s. Sounds a bit biblical doesn’t it? Someone asked him how he was able to win the case, and he replied, “ I have faith in the supremacy of reason.” Now that may have worked in the 1950’s but not in the 21st century!

It seems as though reason has been thrown out of the window! How else can you explain why a nation would turn its back on God, and that every night as I watch the news, I have to be asked “Have you seem this child”because someone’s child is missing?

Dr. Francis Schaeffer wrote a book titled “Escape from Reason” and that’s more in line with what’s going on today. So sorry Perry, but I have no faith in the supremacy of reason, but I do have faith in the Supremacy of our good God! Yes He’s yet in control! “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18. He’s a true LAWYER who never lost a case!
