“Handle your business!”

“Handle your business!” Are you familiar with that old saying? When my kids were growing up my oldest daughter use to say that to the younger siblings. ”Handle your business!” That meant that one of the kids had made a mess and was dragging the situation out! I laughed as I remembered those “old days.” Sometimes we Christians are accused of not handling our business. It’s not that we aren’t handling our business, its just that we have a different boss, and He plays by different rules. How often have we been misunderstood because we don’t react the way people think that we ought to? As Christians our assignment is different and we aren’t running around trying to please everyone. We are trying to please the one who brought us out of darkness into His marvelous light! So excuse us as we “Handle our business.” “His lord said unto him, Well done good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” St. Matthew 25:23.
