“He rides on every storm.”

“He rides on every storm.” My wife and I were on vacation when hurricane Dorian decided to show up. Rather than cut our vacation short we decided to “Shelter in place”, since we were not in an area that required evacuation. When the Governor of the State came on tv to give his storm update, he called on one of his staff to open with prayer. Open with prayer?! For a moment I thought that I had just entered “The Twilight Zone”, but then I remembered that I was in the South. When the staff member ended the prayer he said that “We ask these things in Jesus name, amen!” In Jesus name?! Wow!

Yes storms have the ability to make you think, and make you blink, and as we use to say in the army, “There are no atheist in fox holes.” Had Adam and Eve not given up their right to rule, there would have been no storms at all on earth.

So don’t blame God for what happened in the Bahamas, blame Adam! As bad as it was, we thank God, because it could have been worse. Please don’t think that the Bahamas is worse than Manhattan Island where I come from.

“And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” St. Luke 13:2-3. Saints, it’s still about getting folk to come to Jesus before it’s too late! I thank God that He rides on every storm!
