“Hiding behind the cross”

“Hiding behind the cross!” I know that it’s not Easter, but this week I’ve been thinking about the blessing of the Cross. We imperfect people have a perfect God who sent His only begotten Son to be hung up for our hang ups! Yes all we had to do was to accept His substitutionary death on the cross of Calvary and all of our sins, past, present, and future have been washed away! What a Mighy God we serve! So although I can come boldly to the throne of grace, I like hiding behind the cross so that when God sees me, He sees the Jesus in me! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” St. John 3:16. ”Alas and did my Savior bleed, and did my Sovereign die. Would he devote that sacred head for such a worm as I? At the cross, at the cross…”
