“I’m going to do my part but...”

“I’m going to do my part but...” Yes, I’m going to do my part, but “Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.”

I’ve been voting since I was 21 because they didn’t lower the voting age until 1971. Like many of you I’ve known who I’m voting for for some time, but I don’t know who’s going to win. So I’m saying I’m going to do my part, but “Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.”

They are predicting dire circumstances for this nation no matter who wins so I’m going to do something that I learned as a child. Our dad worked nights, so if any storms or problems came up at night, we could run to mom. Mom and dad are gone now, but they taught us to get close to Jesus during storms.

HE already knows who’s going to win, and His will IS going to be done in earth as it is in heaven. Let’s fasten our seatbelts, get ready for a bumpy ride, and do OUR part. Too many have died to give us the right to vote! “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Deuteronomy 31:6.
