“Keep the lights on!”

“Keep the Lights on!” The outdoor Christmas decorations really caught my attention this year. It seemed as though Con Edison had given a kind of Christmas discount, and next month’s light bill would be “light stuff!” Yes there was a great deal of light on the outside, but it made me wonder how much light was on the inside? Did they know that Jesus is the Light of the world and that they were going to have to Keep the Light on? Saints it’s dark out here, and soon all of the Christmas lights will be turned off. They announced this week, that in Bethlehem there will be no lights displayed because of the war, and I don’t mean Bethlehem Pennsylvania! As our nation moves farther and farther away from God it may cost us more to keep the lights on, but keep them on anyway. I promise you that the bill has already been paid at the cross. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven.” St. Matthew 5:16. From my family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas!
