Let’s not get cute!

“Let’s not get cute!” A mother was having an obedience problem with her seven year old daughter who was standing and giving her word for word.

Her mom finally told the little girl to sit down, and she refused, causing her mother to push her down into the seat! The little girls’ response was “I’m sitting down on the outside, but I’m standing up on the inside!”

I thought about that old story when I heard that one of our State officials, who has really been being respectful towards the God of the Bible, allegedly said that social distancing, and not God, should get the credit for the drop in cases.

Now I understand the importance of social distancing, but I say to that State official “Let’s not get cute!” We are not out of the woods yet, and we need the praying part of the church to keep praying! Just as that little girl needs her parents to survive and should be walking in obedience, we are going to need Jesus for times like these. God is releasing us into a whole new normal and thankfully He promised to be with us every step of the way! “for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5C. Stay safe Saints!
