“Mixed Signals!”

“Mixed Signals!” I was watching a news program as they were interviewing a young lady who was a contestant for the restarted Apollo Theater’s amateur night. The reporter asked the young lady how she planned to win the contest, and she replied “I’m going to look like an angel, and sing like the devil!” Needless to say, the reporter and those in the studio, were very impressed! I was impressed too because I see too many looking like angels and “living” like devils. As Christians we have to be very careful about sending out mixed signals. New York City Mayor Eric Adams said yesterday at the Democratic National Convention that he can’t get New Yorkers to go back to work on Mondays, but they have no problem going to the club on Sundays. They can go to the club but can’t come to church? Mixed Signals! Since the world won’t read the Bible we have to let them read us, and after reading us we want them to meet Jesus! If they don’t meet Jesus as Savior they will have to meet Him as Judge, and there are no do overs in the grave. “Ye are our epistle written in our hearts , known and read of all men.” 2 Corinthians 3:2.
