“Push the battle to the gate!”

Updated: Jan 26, 2021

“Push the battle to the gate!” I’m told that a cousin whom I never met would say those words during devotional or testimony service. You do remember testimony service don’t you?

Back in those days we really didn’t expect life to be handed to us “on a silver platter, or on a flowered bed of ease.” We expected trouble from the powers of darkness, and were prepared to handle it through prayer, fasting, and the study of the word.

The Lord has graciously allowed us to enter into 2020, but the same weapons that took us through 2019, will be needed to get through 2020. Yes someone will have to cry “Push the battle to the gate” because the war is not over!

Every born again child of God may be called this year to put up or shut up as we see scripture being fulfilled. Thankfully Jesus has already told us that we’re going to be all right, and the enemy will Not win, so stay the course. “And I say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” St. Matthew 16:18. Push the battle to the gate!
