“Slow leak!”

“Slow leak!” This week my wife’s car light came on announcing that one of her tires had a slow leak. She asked one of our sons to take the car to the gas station to be repaired, but when he got there he discovered that the key for the wheel locks was nowhere to be found! My wife called the car dealership and something that should have taken several minutes to fix turned into something that took several hours to resolve. My oh my! After that episode I began to wonder how many of us Christians are running around with a “Slow leak”?

Sometimes we are so busy trying to help others that we fail to help ourselves. Yes trying to be everybody’s savior can make you forget that sometimes you’ve got to save yourself! So try to pull into the filling station this weekend and tell your man or woman of God to “Fill her up!”, and don’t forget to check those tires! “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.” Psalm 100:1-2.
