“The Church isn’t where we go, it’s who we are.”

“Church isn’t just where we go, it’s who we are.” That’s the latest message on the sign outside of my neighborhood church! It came at the right time too as another nor’easter may cancel some Sunday services. Jesus didn’t die for our buildings, but he truly died for the church. Just think about it. Everywhere we go the church goes with us, because we are the church! So if your church building is closed this Saturday or Sunday because of the storm, you’ll still be open, because in reality, YOU are the church!

Yes God the Father so loved the world, but God the Son died for the church that we would be the church Militant and then become the church Triumphant! Our relationships with other believers is strong, and our commitment to scripture is sure, so our praise to our Heavenly Father will be genuine! So no matter what, We Are The Church! “And I say unto thee that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” St. Matthew 16:18.
