“There’s a highway to hell, but only a stairway to Heaven.”

“There’s a Highway to hell, but only a stairway to Heaven.” That was on a sign outside of one of my neighborhood churches. The thing that really caught my attention was that this particular church was not known for sending folks to hell.

Like many churches today hell has been closed for repairs, so no one can get in! So to add insult to injury, we Christians have to take the stairs to heaven! I guess that’s why it’s said that “Everybody talking about heaven ain’t going there.” They don’t want to take the stairs! Some of us are tired and weary, but we have to take the stairs. Some have been wounded and discouraged, but they have to take the stairs.

Some of the Saints have been walking with Jesus a long time, in good times and bad times, but they too have to take the stairs. The only good thing about the stairs is that Jesus is on the stairs with you, so how cool is that?! “

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5. Stay on the stairs Saints! Stay on the stairs!

“When doubt is gone.” What a way to end a month. Someone is pushed onto the train tracks again, a Police officer is slain in the line of duty, and a bridge in Baltimore falls down with people on it. T
