“When Sovereignty hurts!”

“When Sovereignty hurts!” Those of you who are church goers know that sometimes church members can be closer to you than unsaved family members. This week my “niece” who was a powerful worker in God’s kingdom, was called home. Saints and friends pleaded with God to let her stay, but HE said no. He said no not because He wanted to hurt us, but because He’s Sovereign. Sovereignty trumps faith every time.

“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep , that ye sorrow not , even as others which have no hope.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13. Yes all of us who are Christians have that hope that we will see our saved loved ones again, and that’s what Christmas is all about! If there was no Jesus then there could be no Christmas, and if there was no Christmas, then there can be no resurrection. So although it hurts, it’s yet a Merry Christmas because of the Sovereignty of God. We love Him because He first loved us.
