“wishful thinking” Do you remember that old saying?

“Wishful thinking” Do you remember that old saying? When someone would say that, someone else would say “Wishing won’t make it so!”

During these last few months I’m sure that’s there’s been a lot of wishful thinking going on. We’ve wished that the virus hadn’t come, or that black on black crime hadn’t increased, or that our jobs had not shut down. However we know that we can’t go back to those thrilling days of yesteryear, and that the Lone Ranger may never ride again!

So as we prepare for less money, and possibly missing family members or friends this Christmas, we Christians will have to remind the world that Jesus is the reason for the season, and not Santa Clause. The joy we have on the inside is going have to show up on the outside. Father help us to be strong in times like these. “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” St. Luke 2:11.
