“Are you paying Attention?” Several years ago one of my teachers said that “If you don’t pay Attention, you’ll have to pay somebody else!” The statistics say that crime is down in the New York City subways, so our Governor is sending 750 members of the National Guard to help patrol the subways. Meanwhile we have over one thousand police officers down there now. Are you paying Attention? An 8 year old brings a gun to school two days in a row this week, and the school fails to notify the parents! Are you paying Attention? If our nation isn’t paying Attention we Saints MUST pay Attention. How in the world did so many Christians stop attending church services? I think it was because they weren’t paying Attention. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” St. Matthew 18:20. How can you say no to Jesus unless we’re not paying Attention?

“Red Light, Green Light, 1,2,3, again!” Last week my wife and I were driving home from a late night appointment on Long Island. As the light was changing I saw the flash coming from the Red light cameras which meant I had broken the law, and Nassau County was the wrong place for that! Now although I didn’t mean to break the law I’m going to have to pay the fine when the ticket shows up. That’s just how sin is. Although you may have not meant to sin, there’s always a fine to pay even if you are a practicing Christian. Sadly some people don’t know that their sins are not under the Blood of Jesus and they will totally be surprised when they stand before the SAVIOR. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1st John 1:9. But this scripture only applies to practicing Christians. Let’s get ready for Resurrection Sunday!

“Sue who?” Recently our Mayor announced that he and others are suing Social Media for what it has done, and is doing to our children. Two of my youngest grandchildren spent a few nights at my house, and each had their phones on a charger, just in case Paul Revere couldn’t make his midnight ride! I enjoyed the Mayor’s speech until a reporter asked “What about the parents?” He immediately jumped into his political bag, in essence making excuses for the parents. Now I know that we can’t blame the parents for everything, but we’ve got to blame them for something! In Chicago a mother was convicted of involuntary manslaughter because of what her son did, and her husband’s trial is next! In too many instances the children are raising themselves and aren’t being given a chance to even meet JESUS, let alone be saved by Him. Saints, let’s not give up on our children and grandchildren. GOD is yet in the Saving business! “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13.
